So in the last week the following has happened:

Got my license for California, I can legally work now (FINALLY. YAY.)
My first salon to hire me ended before opening doors, thanks to legal issues with the landlord/a lawsuit/ I hope the landlord is hit by a big bus. THUS:
I lost my job. Two days after getting licensed.
I applied to a few new places, fishing, not sure what was out there.
Mystery place I applied to that had no name/address listed called me back, gave me an address and less than two hours to get ready and get there.
I throw myself into my hottest suit (Marciano all the way baby) and into some makeup, become flustered at my printer for not working, walk out the door feeling like this is never going to happen as I am so unprepared. I do not even have a resume or portfolio with me.
I am interviewed by an assistant, then the owner who turns out to be hair famous/I am thrilled just to meet him but assume I will never be hired with my severe lack of long term experience/the fact I am so not prepared for the meeting.
I am hired on the spot in less than 20 minutes. He hires me because I am “poised, well dressed, am fresh in the industry yet older than most of my coworkers, and my resume shows that 1- I am obviously not an idiot and 2- I must REALLY want it.
I am told to be there the next day for work at 9 AM with a model to work on. I spend the rest of the day trying to find a model and shopping for new shoes to wear to work.
I work a day and am really thrilled and terrified the entire time.
On day two I am told I am assisting on a catwalk event. On my 4th day.

My life is kind of bizarre. I swear, destiny hands me things on a silver platter sometimes. It is kind of like the universe said ‘Oh, hey, I know I have put you through a lot of crap lately. Have a prezzie.’

So yeah, now you know why I continue to be a ghost on tumblr. Hopefully getting paid now means I am slightly less poverty stricken/can afford internet again soon.

Honestly, I thought you had already hit rock bottom. I don’t know how, but you are still managing to dig.

You know what scares me about you? It isn’t you. It is the people in the crowd listening to you and cheering. I can handle one idiot. I really can. I can look at you and listen to you and consider you such a joke that I don’t even consider you human like the rest of us. But what I cannot handle is that fact that you have support. You aren’t alone. Not everyone looks and you and is baffled by your faults. That, sir, is what frightens me about you the most.

I would appreciate it if you would slink off in disgrace now. I would also appreciate it if before you slink off, you give a formal apology to everyone for every horrible thing you have said. To women, to the LGBT community, to the poor, to the lower middle class, to anyone who has ever had to choose between rent money and medical care, to the American people as a whole, to the entire world for the danger you present, to whites for your racial arguments/poor decisions that makes them look worse as a whole, to the President of the United States of America who deserves your respect, and to each and every person of color that you have cut once again despite all the leaps and bounds society has made/reminding them of everyone who has ever used that word/making anyone feel less than/when what any human being no matter who they are or their color deserves your respect, and finally for being a hateful, horrible little man.
